灵慧毕业於美国迈亚米大学的电影及戏剧系。1999 年她制作、编写及导演的大型音乐剧《释迦牟尼佛传》，在马来西亚首演深获好评，创造许多第一， 引起极大回响。1999 年成立了『自在音乐舞台工作室』（『亚洲音乐剧制作』前身），以制作更多 国际水准的音乐剧为目标。2004 年制作另一大型 音乐剧《天心月圆》，同样获得成功。2005 至 2007 连续 3 年制作了《圆满的生命》乐、舞、剧 赏析会，开创另一种演出精华。2008 年制作了第三部《雪域上的光芒：文成公主》音乐剧。此剧为灵慧赢得马来西亚权威艺术奖 Boh Cameronian Arts Awards 最佳导演。2009年《释迦牟尼佛传》於马来西亚国家剧院举办十周 年盛大演出，并在同年的 Boh Cameronian Arts Awards 荣获十个奖项，包括由灵慧获得的最佳导演及最佳剧本。2010 年受邀制作及编导由马来西亚国家团结部主催的爱国音乐剧-《Kita》，同年也 制作了《花啦啦歌舞团》音乐剧。2013 年制作《大地终曲－乃米萨亚那的呼喊》，还有 2015 年的 《四籍家话》及 2016 年的《遇见观音》，每一齣都深获好评。2018 年灵慧又再创造佛教音乐剧历 史，以 360 度舞台创意呈現《药师如来》音乐剧。灵慧的作品曾到新加坡、印尼、中国、台湾、南非、 韩国等多个国家公演。
Lin Huay graduated from the University of Miami in the United States with a degree in motion picture and theatre production. In 1999 she wrote and directed Siddhartha The Musical which at the time was the biggest Malaysian-produced musical. The 10th anniversary performance of Siddhartha in 2009 won ten awards in the 8th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards including Best Direction and Best Script for Lin Huay in the musical theatre category. Lin Huay is the founder of Asia Musical Productions (formerly known as Musical On Stage Productions) which focuses on producing top notch Malaysian musicals. The company also produced the following acclaimed musicals: Above Full Moon in 2004, The Perfect Circle in 2006, Princess Wen Chengin 2008 which won five awards in the 7th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards, Kita and Singing Market in 2010, Earth Epilogue - The call out of Naimisayana in 2013, Tales of 4 Dialects in 2015, The Story of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattava in 2016 and Medicine Buddha in 2018. Other than Malaysia, the company has also performed in Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa, China, Taiwan and South Korea.
